What services does Perception Imaging offer?

Do I need a referral or prescription to get an ultrasound done?

Yes, we require a referral or prescription from a licensed healthcare provider for all imaging procedures. This ensures that the appropriate test is conducted based on your specific medical need.

How long does the imaging procedure take?

Most ultrasound and sonography procedures take between 15 to 45 minutes, depending on the type of scan. We recommend arriving at least 10 minutes early to complete any necessary paperwork.

When and how will I receive my results?

Typically, results are available within 24–48 hours after the scan. Your referring physician will receive the report directly. You may also request a copy of your report or images for your personal records.

Is ultrasound safe, and are there any side effects?

Ultrasound is a completely safe and non-invasive imaging technique that uses sound waves to create internal images of the body. It does not involve any radiation, making it especially safe for pregnant women and routine monitoring. There are no known side effects, and the procedure is generally painless and well-tolerated.

Can I bring someone with me to my appointment?

Yes, you are welcome to bring a friend or family member with you to your appointment. For certain procedures, they may need to wait in the reception area, but for many scans—especially prenatal ultrasounds—support persons are often allowed to accompany you into the scan room

We are a premier 3D, 4D, and 5D baby ultrasound studio located in Flossmoor, Illinois. Our mission is to provide expectant families with an unforgettable bonding experience through high-quality imaging in a relaxing, spa-like environment.

No referral is needed! Our elective ultrasounds are non-diagnostic and are meant to enhance your prenatal experience. However, you must be under the care of an OB/GYN or midwife during your pregnancy.

  • 3D shows still, lifelike images of your baby.
  • 4D adds real-time movement to those images.
  • 5D enhances image clarity, color, and lighting for a more realistic, photo-like view.

You can easily schedule your session online through our online booking portal or call us directly. We recommend booking early, as popular time slots fill quickly!

  • For gender determination, we recommend between 14–20 weeks.
  • For 3D/4D/5D imaging, the best time is between 26–34 weeks, when your baby’s features are more developed.

Yes, a deposit is required at the time of booking.

Depending on the package you choose, sessions typically last between 15 to 40 minutes.

Yes! We welcome your family and friends to share the experience. Our studio can comfortably accommodate up to 5 guests.

Absolutely. Ultrasounds have been used safely for decades. Our services are non-diagnostic and use the same sound wave technology as your doctor’s office.
