Hi, This is Yolanda Petty

Yolanda Petty is a native of Chicago’s Southside where she attended St. Ethelreda Grammar School and Mother McAuley High School. Thereafter she attended Illinois State University and the Wilbur Wright College of Radiography (X-Ray).

Yolanda graduated with honors from Radiography and furthered her education by graduating in
the first class of the first Ultrasound Program in Chicago. There were 13 students that started
the program. Yolanda was one of the 7 that finished.

Yolanda’s Journey

Yolanda moved to Louisville Kentucky in 2000. She worked for Jewish Hospital for 6 years. She was on the start up team for Jewish Medical Center East where she served as a Lead Sonographer. She was a Clinical Instructor for St. Catherine College Ultrasound Program.

In 2014 Yolanda started Perception Plus Imaging in Louisville Kentucky. The name Perception is what she sees, does and interprets. Plus is because she wishes to add positivity to her community through the use of her skills. Yolanda relocated back home in August of 2023 and currently owns a 4D Ultrasound Studio where pregnant women can have an Ultrasound with their family in a cozy living room setting located in Downtown Flossmor Illinois.

Experience

Yolanda has gained hands-on experience in Obstetrics, Abdominal, Vascular, and Echocardiography, working with top medical professionals at leading institutions like Vanderbilt, West Virginia University, University of Louisville, University of Chicago, Rush St. Luke’s, and Cook County Hospitals.

Passions and Purpose

Yolanda is a single mother of three adopted children—a son and twin daughters—who keep her active. She enjoys music, movies, chess, and traveling, with London being her favorite destination. Yolanda is also involved in community organizations like Bettie Morton #119 O.E.S.P.H.A. and the Imperial Court, and she volunteers with youth. Her goal is to serve her community by providing high-quality, affordable Ultrasound care.
